Lorna McPherson
Lorna McPherson BCYC, CAP-IBP, RPC-CPCA, CVAP, CR-KHP, CPT-NCCPT, CNC-ISSA
Lorna is currently employed by School District 79 as a student support worker, teaching and learning with at-risk students struggling with various disruptions and challenges. She is simultaneously contemplating her retirement and sharing how colors and numbers have influenced her life over the last 20+ years of self-inquiry.
Approximately 22 years ago, Lorna’s body, mind, and spirit told her it was time to move on from her marriage and her career as an administrative manager of an electrical distributor and an inventory analyst of a woodstove manufacturer. This conviction resulted in her embarking on the journey to receive her Child and Youth Care Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in 2005.
Since this time, Lorna has been a delegated child protection worker, an executive director, and co-creator with the board of directors of a registered non-profit society called Serenity Child and Parent Society.
In 2006, she embarked on a journey to complete three years of Integrated Body Psychotherapy and received her full designation as an Allied Professional of Integrated Body Psychotherapy in 2014.
In 2010, Lorna became the sole proprietor of a private therapy practice, named The Missing Link, and became a registered professional counselor of the Canadian Professional Counselors Association, and a certified counselor for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP).
Most recently, Lorna embarked on additional training and is now volunteering on the Kid’s Help Phone as a crisis responder, and as of December 2022, she completed her certification with the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and accreditation with the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT). She has successfully completed her 12-year journey up to and including Purification 4 – Level 12 of Holosync Meditation program through the Centerpointe Institute. In March of 2023, Lorna also received her certification as a nutritionist with ISSA.
Sharing this history is to clearly demonstrate the twists, turns, and recalibrations she has made in her journey. She has been married twice, is the mother of two amazing children, a grandmother to two of the sweetest little humans, and is a partner to a wonderful man. Lorna loves investigating the lifelong process of self-inquiry.
Woven into this older, adult stage of life is her love of gardening and grandparenting while including 9 additional recommended personal resources she has shared on pages 55 and 56. These resources are Holysync meditation, Integrated Body Psychotherapy, Feng Shui, Numerology, Tarot, Dream analysis, Nutrition, Personal Training, and Earthing.
I believe these resources will be great for anyone feeling the need for a mind, body, and spirit reset, or recalibration, anywhere along their journey.
